Concerts and Events
Our 90th anniversary season (2026 – 2027) will be titled “Sing the Darkness to Light“, and will feature four concerts tracing a path from stillness into radiance, performed by voices from across the front range.
Upcoming Concerts
Afterglow
October 11, 2026 at 2:30 pm | Location: TBA
In collaboration with the Longmont Concert Band.
The Longmont Chorale reunites with the Longmont Concert Band for a collaborative concert of reflection, warmth, and beauty. Like the afterglow that lingers after sunset, the program explores music that captures the transition as day gives way to evening. Featuring both individual and combined performances, audiences will hear the remarkable blend of voices and wind instruments in music that ranges from peaceful and contemplative—such as a combined performance of the beloved Sleep by renowned composer Eric Whitacre—to powerful and uplifting. Whether you’re a longtime lover of choral and band music or simply looking for an afternoon of exceptional live music, this concert offers a rich and memorable musical experience.

Sure on This Shining Night
December 6, 2026 at 3:00 pm | Location: TBA
With NoCo Singers
The Longmont Chorale, joined by the exceptional vocalists of the local semi-professional NoCo Singers, presents an afternoon of music that brings both calm and joy to the December season. In both nature and the Christmas story, the stars take a guiding role at this time of year. This program explores music drawn from the night sky—its stillness, its brilliance, and its ability to inspire wonder here on earth. Featuring luminous works from Nordic composers such as Kim André Arnesen and Ola Gjeilo, the music transports us northward, where winter skies shimmer with stars and the colors of the Aurora Borealis dance across the darkness. From the quiet beauty of moonlit nights to the radiant star that led travelers to Bethlehem, this program invites us to pause, look upward, and rediscover the awe of the season.
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
February 13, 2027 at 3:00 pm | Location: TBA

Swing dance lessons will be offered before the concert, and during intermission guests are invited to step onto the dance floor and enjoy live music perfect for dancing. March 7, 2027 at 3:00 pm | Location: TBA
Get ready to turn the volume up as the Longmont Chorale takes a journey through the unforgettable sound of classic rock — music as bright and bold as a clear blue sky. From the electrifying energy of Queen and Led Zeppelin to the timeless songwriting of The Beatles and Billy Joel, this concert celebrates the music that defined a generation. Featuring driving anthems and powerful ballads, these legendary songs take on new life as we bring the spirit of classic rock to the concert stage.
Can We Sing the Darkness to Light?
May 2, 2027 at 3:00 pm | Location: TBA
The Longmont Chorale closes its season with a program centered on hope, resilience, and the power of music to illuminate even the darkest moments. Anchored by Kyle Pederson’s powerful work, Can We Sing the Darkness to Light?, the program reminds us that even in uncertain times light can still break through the night—and voices raised together can inspire courage and joy. This concert also serves as a special preview of the repertoire the Chorale will carry on tour to Scandinavia, where long northern nights give way to the returning light.
