Schubert’s Mass No. 2 remains the best known of his missae breves. Schubert’s skill was largely unknown during his short life until after his death, when composers such as Brahms, Mendelssohn, Schumann and Liszt championed his works, with his Mass in G becoming one of the more well-known works.
Music from some of these renowned composers will also be featured, along with Schubert’s shorter works and those of his contemporaries.
Featured guest artists performing solos will be: Mackenzie Talley (soprano), Cody Laun (tenor), and William Wilson (baritone).
